Inclusion

At Lady Castle Nursery we believe that every child should have access to the best possible learning opportunities and we therefore promote inclusive practice.

Recognising that some children may have particular needs or disabilities, we take specific action to support and encourage these children within a caring environment.

Led by a Special Education Needs Coordinator, staff work very closely with parents and carers to carefully monitor the progress of any child with Special Educational Needs and provide effective and additional support to meet the child’s particular requirements.

Staff modify learning as appropriate for these children, taking into account their pace of learning and the equipment they will use.

Our SEN, Disability and Inclusion Policy ensures we promote the individuality of all our children, irrespective of ethnicity, attainment, age, disability, gender or background.
