Eureka is holding a very special Early Years week where the museum will be open for Early Years children only.
All children are invited to join us on the trip regardless of their sessions and must arrive at Nursery for 8.00am prompt.
We will be travelling by coach to The Eureka Museum in Halifax where the children will have the opportunity to visit the gallery and see the ‘All About Me’ section where the children can discover how their bodies work covering personal, social and emotional development and physical development.
They can then explore the global garden where the children can investigate a variety of animals and their habitats, covering Knowledge and Understanding of the world. The children will have the opportunity to develop their imaginative skills by joining in with role play exploring the house and garage, developing Communication and Language skills. Finally the children can develop their Mathematical skills by learning real life scenarios in the shop and bank. The children will also be able to participate in craft activities, meet the farm animals in a miniature mobile farm from Ripon and enjoy a picnic lunch.
We will depart from Eureka at 2.00pm and will be expected back at 3.00pm. All morning children or those not normally in on a Thursday should be collected at 3.30pm to allow the children to settle back in to Nursery. Full details: Eureka Letter 20 April
